'I met Jade at work in 2014 and have been work besties since! Lucky me! I hate it that we don't work together anymore but love to still ring her randomly driving to work (or back) to have a bitch fit on the A1
My best memory of Jade has to be going to a work awards do in town and then ending up back at a hotel where some work people were staying. We stayed up drinking until 5am (why?!), even though we had interviews at 9am in Gosforth.
At some point I was like, “Jade, we have to leave, it’s ridiculously late.” This was around the time Newcastle had those snow dogs everywhere, and there was one outside the hotel. I remember looking out of the taxi window and seeing her slumped against it, crying about how much she loved her dogs 🤣 genuinely upset 🤣
The next day, between interviews, we were lying under the table eating gravy and chips because sitting upright felt like it might actually kill us.
When our 2pm interview came in, Jade was fully hungover. I was deep in interviewer mode, really engaged with this lady, when suddenly I just see Jade’s hand slide into my eyeline, slowly creep across the table, grab my glass, and down my water in one go. No shame. Like something out of a comedy sketch — I’m sure she even wiped her mouth afterwards. 🤣
As soon as the lady left, we absolutely lost it laughing.
Ahhh, I miss the work lols!'

'I first met Jade when I worked at Home Group and my favourite memory of Jade is her absolute talent for drinking prosecco when we used to go out! 🤣'

'I met Jade at Homegroup when she must have been about 10!!!
What can I say about Jade…… she is known amongst the Homegroup posse as the smiling assassin. I have seen Jade tell people they didn’t get a job, dismiss people and they still thank her. She is calm, patient and one of the most thorough people I have ever had working for me. Jade does things before you ask her, she does things you never knew you needed done.
But it’s definitely not all work no play with Jade, her love of her beloved dog and Prosecco is infectious.
Hope you have a mint Hen weekend Jade love Kirstie'

'I met Jade at school and we bonded instantly over our sarcastic sense of humour and love of taking the piss out of Kyle Flannigan and ruining Mr Carter's life.
We moved on from school to sneaking into town underage drinking and running past inflatables outside of Sam Jacks to buy an alcopop to then being caught by our mams as the chronicle took our pictures and posted them in the paper! We had regular nights in which would result in then going to town mortal. Having skittles and trebbles in mushroom then heading for an indians together. Jade was always the sensible one of the group. When I say sensible she would never go to town without her spare contact lenses incase she didnt go home that night wink wink. Those days are long gone and we now have teas out and kitchen parties surrounded by kids and partners. I love our yearly caravan weekend away and we still laugh together now as much as we did dancing all night to Mr Brightside! There are so many more stories I could say about mine and jade's friendship over the years but I still want to be invited to the wedding 🤣'

'I don’t recall the first time I met Jade but I do have a vivid memory that still comes up in conversation from time to time 16+ years later!
I was 14 which means Jade and Katie were about 19. Katie had her friends around for a drink and I ended up sitting with them. As it always did back in the day, their conversation turned to town but by this point it was just Jade and Katie up for it… and me lol. So we all went to Katie’s room to get ready and make me look ‘older’. After a lot of drunk fumbling around and stuffing my bed with pillows 😂 off we left up the street, me with my empty clutch bag 😅 (Were we getting a taxi or the bus? No idea, it was about 11pm 😭) anyway what I haven’t mentioned is we left windows open and the music on and we locked my mam in the house who was asleep 🤣 she managed to get out and was shouting up the street that she was going to ring the police if they didn’t bring me back! So me and Katie went home and off Jade went to town 😂 she was wearing my one and only pair of heels which ended up broken!! It’s taken some time but I do finally forgive Jade for that 🤣'

'So I have the pleasure to call Jade family as I was welcomed in when I started dating Craig, Jade's cousin. Everyone was so nice and Jade is just a kind and such a nice person to be around she’s a gem'

'I'd love to say I remember meeting Jade for the first time but I really can't, I'm sure she recalls the magical first time she saw me like yesterday though! My favourite memory of Jade and one I love to share is when we went to Mexico on a last minute holiday. We were absolutely stinking drunk after deciding to grab our lilo and cool cups and head to the pool bar for the day. After a full day knocking back the full cocktail list 20 times over, we got out the pool (neither of us remember this part). I passed out black out drunk on the bottom of my sunbed and woke up to a very flustered Jade crying my name with blood pouring from her nose. Me being the protective sister I am, was ready to fight someone, but once Jade started laughing through the tears I was so confused about what she was trying to tell me. Jade had slipped in front of the whole pool at the pool bar and smacked her face off the sunbed/floor... my heart broke for her UNTIL she told me she had been running. I asked her why she was running, Jade was in fits of giggles, when we stopped laughing she told me she had been running because the million strawberry daiquiris we had drank had started to travel... and the cleaner in the toilet was just standing at the bathroom door, so she was so embarrassed she ran from the bathroom instead making it even more embarrassing for herself slipped and smashed her face in front of the whole pool. I must say it was a great holiday minus the bloody nose and black eyes!'

'I met Jade when we started walbottle high school.
So many memories together. But we always used to love our Spanish lesson at school with Mr Carter. We always had such a laugh. I remember once Jade told him she could never get a seat on the bus home so she picked up a chair and pretending to take it with her out the room. He was panicking so much looked like he was going cry. He was shouting no Jade you can’t take my furniture 😂'

'I met Jade through her sister Nicola, and have been an adopted brother ever since! My favourite memory of Jade is at one of the many Halloween parties at Jackie's house. A drunk Jade/Dorothy, Wizard of Oz was coming back down stairs in some slippy tights and fell down the full flight of stairs. My husband Mark was at the bottom really worried about her but as she hit the bottom she farted really loud in his face. Not only was it embarrassing enough she had just face planted the stairs, he is so polite he still to this day pretends he didn't hear anything!'

'I met Jade at work about 10 years ago. To the untrained eye she is a sweet innocent girl....then she moved in with us..... what an absolute Prosecco pro!! I am in absolute awe of her online shopping ability......i mean at one point we were going to call the police for a welfare check incase she was buried under all the parcels in her bedroom 🤣 there's been so many funny moments with Jade.....we lived in the same house, got dressed, went to work together and only realised when We were stood in the office that we were dressed exactly the same.....we looked like a right pair of knobs! Ha! Or when she would go out with you girls, come home steaming...we'd be lying in bed, we'd hear her crash through the front door, hit every step on the way up to bed , while repeating to herself....you're alright Jade, you're alright jade... then we'd hear an almighty bang and we'd both lie holding our breath to see of we could hear she was OK rather than get out of bed to check then we'd hear her say....your OK Jade and then go to sleep🤣. There the times when reginald the 10 stone puppy realised if he ran at her bedroom door hard enough it would open...we'd not realise he was missing out the room til we heard her scream when he terrorised her🤣 the nights out were epic....even remember her going to a work do one night, not going home and just strolling into work the next morning...the girls hardcore! Looking back. I remember one time after my baby shower we all came home and my family were all visiting...jade had obvs been on the seccy and was sat talking to my brother who was tucking into some chicken wings from the chinese. He was absolutely loving his life til Jade looked him square in the eye and spewed in a pint glass🤣🤣..living with Jade was hilarious.....I think we should just cancel the wedding and move back in together🤣🤣'

'# The McDonald’s Taxi Incident
So there we were, me and Jade, absolutely starving after a night out. We flagged down a taxi and immediately started plotting our McDonald’s order like we were planning a heist.
“Drive-thru please, mate,” Jade announced to the driver, who looked thrilled at the prospect of navigating the golden arches at whatever ungodly hour it was.
We rolled up to the speaker, shouting our order over each other like competitive auctioneers. Big Macs, fries, nuggets, the works. Then Jade, in a moment of pure generous inspiration, turned to the driver: “Want anything? We’ll get you a coffee!”
The driver’s face softened. “Yeah, go on then. White, two sugars.”
Look at us, we thought. Model citizens. Buying coffee for strangers. Basically philanthropists.
We collected our bags of greasy salvation and set off toward Jade’s place. I was three bites into my burger when I heard it—that awful, slow-motion “oh no” that only means one thing. I looked over. Jade’s Coke was performing an escape act all over the back seat, creating what can only be described as a carbonated crime scene.
“It was an accident!” Jade squeaked, dabbing uselessly at the puddle with a single napkin.
We pulled up to her house. Time to face the music.
“Listen, we’re really sorry about the seat—” I started.
That’s when the driver absolutely *detonated*. I’m talking zero to volcanic in half a second. Screaming, shouting, veins popping, the full theatrical performance. You’d think Jade had keyed his car, not accidentally spilled a soft drink.
“ARE YOU JOKING? DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH—”
“Mate, GET FUCKED,” I snapped back, suddenly filled with protective cousin energy. “It was an accident. We’ll pay for the cleaning.”
But no. He was fully committed to his meltdown. We grabbed our McDonald’s bags and legged it inside, listening to him continuing his rant from the driveway.
We thought that was the end of it. We were wrong.
Two minutes later, Jade looked out the window. “Is he… is he still out there?”
We watched in absolute disbelief as our coffee-gifted taxi driver—remember, the man we’d BOUGHT COFFEE FOR—stood on the pavement and launched said coffee all over Jade’s front windows like some sort of deranged cappuccino terrorist.
He hit every single window. With impressive accuracy, honestly. Then he got back in his taxi and sped off into the night.
We stood there, McDonald’s in hand, watching coffee drip down the glass, trying to process what we’d just witnessed.
“Well,” Jade said finally, taking a bite of her burger, “at least we didn’t tip him.“

LAURA
I can’t really pinpoint exactly when I first met Jade. I THINK it was when my cousin’s lived down the street on Union Hall Road many many moons ago! We then went to Lemington Middle School and Walbottle together.
I have so many memories with Jade which mainly consist of prosecco! Trips to the races, Manchester (ask Jade and Hayley about the little boy in our apartment 🤣), Christmas market trips and many many nights in talking crap, drinking copious amounts of alcohol and listening to 90’s music. Plenty of nights out and just so so many happy times with the girls. Jade is also an excellent hostess and does the ultimate Christmas night spread 😁
Looking forward to celebrating this weekend and giving Jade a Hen Do to remember before the big day 👰🏼♀️🤵🏼♂️

'I’m proud to say I was the first person to ever see Jade on the 26th May 1990, and yes she was born with a full head of black shiny hair and the most perfect rose bud lips.
Jade has made being a mammy look easy she is always happy and cute with an equal measure of she’ll cut you like a fish if you cross her.
I have too many funny and happy memories of Jade. A couple come to mind, one time when she cried and wanted to go hospital, for a cramp in her foot.
Another time when she actually thought she was no longer for this world and needed a Dr, when all along she needed a wind-eze for trapped wind.
But most of all Jade makes me so proud everyday just being herself, the best daughter, sister and friend.'
